Like water poured on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him.

2 Samuel 14:14

We had a baby girl on Wednesday evening. She was 10 lbs. 1 oz. and 21.5 inches long. Everyone is doing fine, and our first night at home went pretty well. Thanks for your prayers.

Still no baby.

Had an appointment this morning. The non-stress test was still good. The ultrasound looked fine (and guesses an 8 lb 5 oz baby). But, they've scheduled labor induction for Wednesday if the baby isn't here by then.

I really, really don't want to have labor induced (it is much more restrictive on your movements and choices), so if you could please pray that things get a move on, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks for all your prayers thus far.

The Dr appointment and non-stress test yesterday went quite well.

Nothing else to report, as yet. :)

No, the OSU loss to Northwestern, of all teams, didn't make me go into labor.

Don't feel badly about asking about the baby. It hasn't gotten tiresome :) I appreciate your concern and prayers.

The ladies at church are all freaking out that I'm late and telling me how much they would've/have hated being late. I figure the baby will come when he [generic he] is supposed to and right now I have use of both of my hands and can still carry baby. Last night, I was pretty uncomfortable, but it is really at the end of the day when I'm worn out that I feel that way. I think it is partially because I'm pretty tall (5'11") that I haven't gotten to the "get this person out of me I'm so uncomfortable" stage, although I'm sure I'll get there.

I think the VP at work would like it if I would have the baby 'cause she's currently paying 2 salaries for my job. I'm pretty thankful that I'm still comfortable enough to go to work. I can't imagine being home just waiting to go into labor at this point.

I have two "non-stress" tests scheduled for this week ... one tomorrow and one Friday. We'll see how that goes.
