The Simple Woman' Daybook for February 28, 2011

FOR TODAY   Monday, February 28, 2011 ...

Outside my window... it  is cold (but not bitterly) and wet (but no longer thunderstorming as it did for *hours* last night).

I am thinking... I'm going to try not to nap during Quiet Time today and maybe I'll get a full night's sleep.

I am thankful for... Electricity.  And the Sump Pump.

From the learning rooms... Finishing up Egyptians this week, I think.

From the kitchen... Flank steak and potatoes for dinner.

I am wearing... denim skirt, red and black blouse.

I am creating... grocery list and menu plan.

I am going... to the library and Meijer after Quiet Time ... we're almost out of milk.

I am reading... added Abyssinian.  I'm enjoying it so far.

I am hoping... to get some school stuff accomplished for tomorrow.

I am hearing... Mozart Symphony #36 in CK425.  Happy my TV tells me what is playing :)

Around the house... legos and cars about.  Children in bed.  Ah.

One of my favorite things... Sump Pump ... keeps the basement from being flooded.

A few plans for the rest of the week: choir, gym, piano.  Shopping.  Library.  Nothing particularly extraordinary.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

  2. Oh, no! I was working on not napping yesterday. Didn't help as much as I had hoped :(

We're finished with the Old Kingdom. SOTW jumps around during the same time period. We'll also talk about China and Sumer and Abraham, for example, then back to Egypt later.
