Weekly Report Week 4: 1/31/2011-2/4/2011

We got in a couple of days of lessons this week on Monday and Tuesday.  Called a snow day on Wednesday-Friday.  Kinda wish I hadn't, but there it is.  I didn't have a chance to run the errands for Friday's project day, was glad to have Wednesday off with friends who had no power at home, and Thursdays are generally off.  Started Circle Time late on Monday and Tuesday, so didn't do full Circle Time either day.

Memory Work:

Bible:We continued working on God's creation of man in his image.

Catechism/Creed:We began working on the Nicene Creed.  We actually worked on this some last year, but decided to focus on the Apostle's Creed, this year we're focusing on the Nicene.  Hoping to avoid confusion.

Hymn:We began the second verse of Amazing Grace.

Poetry: Everyone started new poems this week, hooray!

We read the chapter about hieroglyphics, cuneiform, and papyrus.  Need clay.  We listened to the chapter about Mummies in the car yesterday.

We worked on catching up on our narrations for Plants and read the next section.  Last Saturday we did the carnation experiment and have enjoyed looking at it all week.  We need to finish the experiment page.
