Huckleberry Finn? Truly they have lost their imaginations.

And it can go the other way, many people stumble over Charlotte Mason because she is conflicted about evolution not realizing that she had a different set of information about the subject than we have.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02413838626377092356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009930.post-34184311165876444292011-02-13T08:03:19.201-05:002011-02-13T08:03:19.201-05:00Yes! I guess, I'm thinking that we prioritize that which is urgent and not important over that which has lasting meaning.

Relevant vs. Timeless! That's perfect. I hate that term "relevant." I meant to talk about it in my post. I find that the relevant doesn't necessarily expand to cover my circumstances. It is "relevant" only to events of that particular kind. Whereas timeless is easy to apply over the broad spectrum.

Well, mourning gets people like us talking about it :)dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17987916970944867015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009930.post-49404715275239227862011-02-12T22:40:03.778-05:002011-02-12T22:40:03.778-05:00Are you thinking of the quadrants? urgent/importan...Are you thinking of the quadrants? urgent/important, not-urgent/important, urgent/unimportant, not-urgent/not-important? That's from Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.

I looked up "archetypal" in the thesaurus and came up with quintessential, exemplary, representative....maybe relevant v. timeless would fit?

What good is it to bemoan the demise, though?Mystiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15489205990532734556noreply@blogger.com
